Beautiful pair of antique brass altar candlesticks in the French Baroque style, likely from the late 19th to early 20th century. Featuring fluted Neoclassical-style columns and ornate Gothic Revival bases with figural faces of Jesus, Mary, or Joseph, these pieces were likely used in a French Catholic liturgical setting. Made of solid brass with a warm, aged patina, each candlestick is stamped “395” and disassembles into 9 parts for easy cleaning. In excellent vintage condition with minor wear to one column, they measure 15.5" tall to the socket, 14" to the drip plate, with 4.5" wide bases. Each weighs 2 lbs 6 oz. Ready to display or polish.
