Lovely Michael Graves designed tongs are an awesome, approachable, and affordable example of post modern design!
They seem to be rather rare, particularly with the black (and not blue) accents.
The tongs were designed by Michael Graves Designs for Target and purchased in the late 1990's. They are ideal for salad, general serving (meat, bread, ice, or Girl Scout cookies!)
Metal with a high shine silver chrome finish with 9 black rubber buttons on either side.
Signed "Graves" on outer curve.
These are in very good preowned condition.
Original owner.Received as a gift about 20 years ago and most of those years have been spent hanging out in a felt-lined drawer with other serveware.
The original, tiny “made in China” label is still in place underneath.
Some light surface wear to the chrome. No metal pitting.
Handwashing recommended. No box.
Note the tongs do not have a gold tone cast like it appears in some of the photos.
Ships well packed from a smoke free home.
