I purchased this exquisite belt in 1998 and sadly it has sat in my drawer unused. It is hefty, sturdy, exceptionally well made, and of the highest quality.
The belt's main leather is deer skin. The darker leather that edges the entire belt is elk skin. The buckle straps are cow hide. There are 8 solid silver chonchos each very thick, and each with a solid natural turquoise cabochon. Each concho measures about 2 inches. These conchos do not slide. Rather, they are tightly secured in place.
I have given all the silver a polish. I believe however the belt would benefit from a visit to a leather professional, as it has been stored in my drawer for many years, and there are some areas where the front and back could use some additional adhesive.
This belt weighs more than 1.3 pounds. Belt size is considered a medium. Overall length is about 40 inches; last hole being at about 38 inches. Matching purse listed separately.
