This is a handmade by myself stone axe head for sale.
Also known as a Celt, this is finely crafted into shape from a large basalt river cobble. Following the initial grinding process, the stone is then carefully sanded and polished into the finished product. I seal my pieces with a light coat of olive oil that works well to penetrate deep into the stone and give the rock a dark bold finished look. This piece takes several hours to make and utilizes several different tools and is both a labor and time intensive endeavor. There is a lot of focus and skill involved in hard stone products and my price reflects this work. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
